Tim Rogers was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised just south in the town of Bixby.
After graduating from Bixby High School, and a brief two-year stint at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, he discovered a newly formed film and video production degree program offered by Oklahoma City Community College. It was there he found a passion for filmmaking, writing, photography and visual arts.
Tim’s first job after college was as an adventure sports photographer which took him on a journey from Oklahoma to Colorado to New Mexico before landing in Dallas, Texas where he got his start in the film and TV industry. He worked as an actor in theater productions and low-budget films and eventually transitioned to working on-set in various capacities of live events, commercials, TV shows and feature films.
When the writer’s strike of 2007 hampered film production in Texas, Tim moved to Los Angeles to continue his filmmaking career. He remained in LA until 2014 when a career shift to advertising media brought him back home to Tulsa.
In 2021, Tim was allowed an opportunity to join Cherokee Film and get back to his true passion for filmmaking, serving the Native community and strengthening his roots within it.
