Katie Stotler was born and raised in Cherokee Nation. She became interested in photography at a young age and, from that point, knew she wanted to pursue a career in media.

Katie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a focus on broadcasting and a minor in graphic design from Rogers State University in 2018. She has been working as a Film and Video Editor professionally ever since. In 2021, she began working at Cherokee Film Studios and joined the OsiyoTV Documentary team in 2023.

Katie is passionate about storytelling and proud to be part of a community creating a new way forward for Cherokee and Native American representation in film.

She enjoys creating her own content for social media and spending time with her husband, dog and cat in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
