BREAKDOWN OF ROLES
[DESK ATTENDANT] 35 to 60 years old, all ethnicities male. This guy works the desk at the prison. So he is one of those standard prison guys. He interrogates one of the Rez Dogs before allowing them into visitation. CO-STAR. 1 SCENE, 14 LINES, 1 SPEECH.
[GUARD] 25 to 55 years old, all ethnicities male. He notifies a prisoner that she has a visitor, but the visitor’s name is not on the list. CO-STAR. 1 SCENE, 2 LINES.
[FEMALE GUARD] 40 to 50 years old, all ethnicities female. This tough woman works in the women’s prison. She’s seen it all and is in no mood to be hit on by someone trying to visit in the prison. Not today. Just not today. She is also proud to report she is 46 years old, dammit! CO-STAR. 1 SCENE, 7 LINES.
[ELDERLY WHITE MAN] 65 to 80 years old, white male. He explains to one of the Rez Dogs why prisons were built, and what he witnesses every day in the visitation waiting room. He hates being separated from his family. CO-STAR. 1 SCENE, 5 LINES, 1 SPEECH.
[HUSBAND] 25 to 45 years old, white male. A former meth’d-out, small town dude is visiting his wife in prison. He lets her know that whatever happened is in the past. Until the conversation somehow turns south when she accuses him of doing exactly what he has been doing. And so of course there will be yelling. And of course he will be dragged out. Because….you know….meth. CO-STAR. 1 SCENE, 8 LINES.
[WIFE] 25 to 45 years old, white female. A small town, methed-out wife sits in prison, visited by her husband. She promises things will be different when she gets out. CO-STAR. I SCENE, 8 LINES.
